How is Amazon Device OS org for SWE? (Lab126, Devices, Device Software)
In terms of culture/WLB, interesting work, impact/growth, talent, thrash. I’ve heard WLB is generally bad at Devices/Lab126 - why is that? The team I interviewed with has no oncall yet and said hours can be pretty chill (9 to 5/6), but seems like an outlier. It’s also a newer team so I’d expect chaos, but apparently not? Lab126 is a giant org. RTO is per team. Don’t spread false information. I’m in 126 and we have no RTO.
What generally makes it so bad/chaotic at Lab126 (compared to other orgs)? Changing requirements, deadlines?
Lab126 has been chill for me. Great management in my division

Core DeviceOS. Heard of it?
Project Vega? Ask if it’s VegaOS. Imo most of the interesting work on that team is done
