Anyone work at Kuiper in Redmond and can give me some insight into how it is ? How many hours is a typical week, how’s the culture , etc? Overall is it a good place to work ? TC: 110
It's Amazon. It will have Amazon culture. It's one of the few orgs that are still hiring.
Also, why they have yellow badge sdes? What is that mean about the org?
Contractors
Yellow badge is for people who have stayed at Amazon for > 5 years afaik. If almost everyone in the org is yellow badge, that's gonna be challenging for a new joinee coz they know their shit and you'll be on the chopping block in the next Forte cycle. However if you have like 3-4 yellow badgers, and some sde2 and some sde1 then that's a good org for a new comer.
You got job offer? Here layoffs going on and they are still hiring🤬
I dont work in the Kuiper org but i work in one where Kuiper looks inciting and we have some go between. From what ive heard is a dumpster fire, i knew someone who spent only a few months there and absolutely hated it. From what i can tell the leadership is brutal and directionless, but its Amazon, what else is new.
💩
Do you work there ?
What is the job position?
It's the org that is nothing like Amazon but somehow it is still a dumpster fire.
The big difference is that Kuiper is a new project, where Amazon has no experience in before. So the work can be more than others.
Shit show
Why would it be different from rest of amazon?
