Had interview with them in 2020. LC mostly hards, but no systems design interview really for senior SWE role, which was kinda odd. The round that was called "systems design" is where you are asked to tell about your current project at work and draw architecture on a whiteboard, which is strange again because not everyone can openly talk about their projects, in that case you can talk about some old project, with a hope you still remember anything. PS. Everyone, please don't message me asking interview questions, as I don't remember.
What’s your impression after interview rounds ?
Impression was unclear, since they interview through general pipeline and that place you at the team. I wasn't able to find out much about any specific team/teams and what they work on. I was concerned about future of the company and stock growth.
Id definitely say there is room for career growth. But I can tell you the stock is lower today than when I joined.
Career growth completely depends on the team and department. Box is trying to find itself in the market admits tough competition...
I really enjoy the culture but I came from an insurance company so to me this is way better. Definitely feels like they care about their employees. Def depends on the team but my wlb is awesome
I think Box is doing pretty well. At least I'm confident about the future. Culture and WLB is great. No doubt about that. Career growth is very dependent on team and you. I think that is one aspect of Box that they aren't great at: making expectations clear for fast growth to keep really talented people around. You can do it, they just make it confusing and not very clear. They just redid the perf system a bit this year, maybe that will help.
How was your first tech screen round? Is it typical leetcode style? Or were you asked multithreading, concurrency related questions
@xinNian could you share the question asked in the interview?
Have some dignity.
