Recruiter reached about Senior and Principal SWE roles. Just wanted to know if any Oracle employees have insight into OH’s roadmap, funding, leadership, wlb and if it is worth the effort? TC 200k
Is it not the same one as oracles acquired cerner?
It is. They folded pandemic response team into that group. It’s definitely not a good place to be. Much better teams and management in other areas of the company
It's a good place to be. Larry is passionate about Health and AI
There are no raises, promotions, or rsu awards. It is a lottery if you're in the monthly layoffs that aren't based on any discernable metric. New hires with less experience make 2-3x the current folks when they actually permit hiring. Job asks and duties just continually increase. We aren't even able to jktlo. Not sure we'll have a consulting org by eoy. Not even sure we'll have much of anything by eoy actually. We are hemorrhaging clients and people. The latter to the glee of leadership as they give each other promotions and raises. There is no plan other than move current code to oci and somehow rewrite our enterprise software in apex. A laughable task showing they have no idea the scope of the software. So yeah... not sure where you think things are positive unless I missed the sarcasm.
That is definitely sobering. I work in OCI and things are pretty good.
Thanks Oracle, OH does not seem that enticing anymore given the problems and little upside.
They are hemorrhaging customers. The VA rollout is a cluster. It’s one of the IMO worst areas in Oracle.
Oracle health is a hot mess right now. I’d try for OCI or another GBU. My group was folded into Oracle/cerner and it’s like who’s next on the layoff list. It’s also disorganized and poorly managed. There are much better teams and groups to work for.
Me too want to know
