I was thinking of interviewing with Quora. How are they doing? Is it a good time to join Quora?
From google? No
How do they or will they ever make money? I don't see a path. Perfectly find website that night one day generate sufficient revenue to pay for itself but any concept of equity there is pointless. If you go, make sure you getting paid straight cash homie...stock ain't ever gonna be worth shit.
Doesn't hurt to interview. CEO is legit: first CTO of Facebook, early investor in Instagram.
Do you think Quora will ever make money ? Twitter with their insane traffic is still struggling to make sense out of their revenue. Quora is an ok website. People will still use google to seek answers and quora is just another answer. Do not go to Quora if you are looking to make money through equity because that will never happen. At the least they will get sold but I even doubt that.
Only a future in India
Don't know if its weird fetish but comments from people in India are just too aweful. Everyone is a philosopher for some reason.
Ya. Quora is almost an Indian website now. Reminds me of orkut
Interned there this summer, and while I can't comment on how well it's doing as a business, it's a great place to work. I enjoyed it much more than Google and a bit more than FB so far. Engineers are top notch and kind making it a great place to learn.
One of my friend interned at Yahoo 3 yrs ago and felt that yahoo was a better place to work. Interns in general are pampered and are made to feel better. Just saying.
It is like yahoo answers except more uppity
No future.
