Hi Blinders ! How many of you have used Slack? What do you think about this product? Do you think it has a good potential to capture the market? How about the end user experience?
Slack is a very good product. I’ve been using it in my company for the past 2 years. I’ve built couple of bots and integrations with slack(my fav part of slack is that it is dev friendly). However Microsoft seems to have benchmarked it and is taking it head on with its teams product. They’re packaging it with outlook or other Microsoft subscriptions to make a compelling buy for enterprises.
Slack is way better than teams bro
Fantastic.
Not as good as Teams
I use slack and teams everyday at office. Teams is used for avg 1-2hrs/day, slack used for avg 8hrs/ day. Slack is a great product. Teams comparable with zoom not slack.
Slack is far better then teams.
Microsoft offering teams as complimentary with other Microsoft products.
Slack is awesome at chat, but their video sucks (still better than teams, but no bluejeans/zoom). Their stock has got hammered. They are finding it hard to compete against players who bundle effectively (google, msft, cisco) and sell more effectively. They also have shown little growth during covid, and are quickly losing marketshare
Growth is steady and good. Churn rate very low. Expectation was equal to zoom plus Billings metric didn’t beat this quarter, partly due to concessions in financial plan given to small companies during covid. This’s a stock which beat EPS and revenue 100% from the time it started.
Growth has not changed post covid vs pre covid (steady, as you say), when all competitors (teams, zoom, fb workplace etc) are seeing a spike in growth both in accounts and in billing. That's very bad Pre covid they had absurdly high expenses (for a SAAS company) putting them far away from profitability and wrecking the stock
Slack and Teams are both overrated. Not significantly better than IRC from decades ago.
Dis I just step into a time capsule
