I keep seeing job roles for Engineering Managers at Spotify. And I'm tempted to apply.. At least I was heavily before I saw the layoff news. The jobs still seem to be there and I'm considering it. To those who work there, how is it? I'm particularly interested how the work from anywhere policy works. I live in Manchester and it would be pricey for me to get into London but I'd like to be able to visit the teams based there. When you opt to work from home does Spotify allow expenses to an office or do you forfeit that benefit?
Edit, looks like the jobs I was looking at have now been pulled and the only ones avaliable are for summer interns. So I guess thats not going to happen.
Spotify has just laid off 6% of its global workforce. So I don’t think they have new opening positions these days.
There is no opening job except from student hires in their official job website. I would say the jobs you see elsewhere are outdated.
