How is StockX culture and tech?
I’m in a rocky org at Netflix and my boss was let go. I think they’re gonna let go of more people in my org so thinking of going somewhere else. I’m a sneaker head and saw StockX is hiring. How’s the tech and the overall culture there? Are they remote friendly? TC: 550K

I think top of band for staff was like 250k cash comp when I left. Twitter doesn’t know.

I like the culture as an IC - kinda goofy but forgiving of mistakes You can use whatever tech you want if you can convince your team. Mostly building on AWS. Employees get 10-50% (sneaker store) discounts on the products listed if that’s your thing Doubt they’ll match within 100 grand of your TC though

Used to work there. It’s legit. They can pay a lot for the right talent. Stock price is way down due to the market. There’s a ton of upside. You can get really rich if it takes off again.
Stockx is great but they don’t pay like the Fangs. It’s a Michigan-based company. You go there for the brand, for the culture, etc. Obviously different roles have different types of earning power so hard to say what you would actually get. But it’s a good company.

I’ve thought about this too, and it would be a dream to work there as a POC, but I doubt they have the same code, product, and talent quality bars as big tech companies :/
I worked at Oracle, StockX, and now amazon. Bar is higher than Oracle IMO and about the same as amazon. People are legit. A lot more opportunities to own things and move up fast. Really easy to get promo
