Curious if anyone can tell me how Twitch is doing? What’s it like working there? I’ve heard mixed things but it seems like a great place and has changed a lot from what I heard!
Used to be great!
I’ve heard the worst about Twitch culture. Current dev managers/directors even point out that they hate the toxic leadership employed there. Can’t imagine being an individual contributor at Twitch.
Interesting I’ve heard some issues with leadership but heard it improved. Would be interested to hear more if you know anything
Have you worked at Twitch? It feels more like Amazon than the startup it used to be. Is it bad? Some would say so but I personally enjoy it more now. Some people think that CEO became the puppet of the new COO but in my opinion the new COO simply tried to put some order in what used to be a frat house. What people complains the most about is the amazon comp structure and the fact that they are trying to cut down on cost.
Gaming sucks, might as well sell cigarettes to kids.
I’ve heard the Glassdoor reviews of Twitch are pretty accurate. Friend says the place has turned into full Amazon but with better salary and free food.
Sure, 2.8 to 3.8 in 3 months in 2018. Seems legit
What’s Subscription, Creators Formats and finance &platform teams? Which one of them is good?
I have heard it changed a lot, but for the worse in terms of culture and management...
Interesting I appreciate the insight.
Depends who you ask. Old timers will say for the worst and new comers will say it is great here. It also depends on the org. The Video and Viewer Experience orgs have seem a lot of growth recently.
