How is Viasat?
Spending my last internship there as SWE intern this summer, so potentially considering it an option for full-time (assuming I have a good experience as an intern). I really enjoy the personable mission and have gotten along really well with employees i've talked to. My partner interned there last summer and the company is his top choice for full-time; but he isn't in SWE. Wondering if there is an established reputation and what current employees think of the company. Interested in full-stack and security.
They lowball and don’t negotiate much
It’s a good company. Good WLB, good product, business is growing. Just shitty TC...
Did you work on their military or commercial division? And do you think other aspects of the company outweigh the low TC?
they refused to interview me in the Boston area citing too high TC expectations. I was vague about the TC. They can't even pay 200k for a 10+ YOE
