How is life as an Incident Response Consultant at Crowdstrike? Is it a good place to work? How good are the benefits? WLB? Good leadership? Salary? TC 250k all cash YOE 6
I work in services. Listen it’s a 24x7 busy as heck IR shop. We get really cool cases, the flow of cases is pretty constant. Not to say we don’t have things ease off at times. Comp is going to be a base, bonus, stock. Most of our IR team has stuck around, promotions are frequent due to the growth. The gents who run the IR group are pretty cool. They’ve been together forever and are TOP notch. I would sum it up as super powerful tech, massive cases (if you are part of x force this will be probably be better and more frequent cases), brand reputation is top notch. Pretty cool team, I would consider it.
Location?
Does it vary based on location (in the US)? Seems like all roles are remote now.
Honestly $250k base with 6 yoe is very difficult to get at CRWD. They will low ball you for sure unless you make them desperate to get you by impression. WLB is ok, not great. Sometimes you get in to shift work if your role describes so. PTO policy is worst, one time my scrum master asked I just took 4 days off 3 weeks ago so I should not take 2 more day off which I complained to manager and he didn’t take any action but didn’t happen again. 1% 401(k) match is at discretion of leadership year over year. Health care anthem is decent. If you are happy at IBM I would not suggest you make move.
