Any SWEs at Verily, Waymo, Nest etc who can share your experiences? How is work under the Alphabet umbrella outside Google? Are the benefits and TC similar to that at Google? TC 242K
Waymo employees don't get Google stock, it's paper Waymo RSUs. Non-Google Alphabet employees also need to do full interview loops to transfer to Google teams and their level is not guaranteed. You pretty much trade working on cool and innovative things for getting paid substantially less liquid compensation than Google peers.

That sucks. Google itself is deteriorating fast anyway, it's like a rot setting in. Earlier all Google was about was innovative technologies. Now it's shifting fast to be about management, manipulation, and politics.
Verily here. Main thing is that we don't get Google stock. Instead, we get semi-liquid RSUs that we can only cash out every 6 months. Benefits and TC are mostly the same otherwise.
I have an offer from Verily that I am considering. Can I Dm you?
