How long can the mobile market grow

The mobile we use now are very compute intensive. How long can the mobile market grow. Why will people switch mobile very often when the existing one works fine. Dont not how long we will see iphone/galaxy new phones coming with more compute power. Who needs compute growth at these rates on mobile. Considering this qualcomm bet to buy nuvia seems to be at wrong time when mobile segment is not in growth trajectory. On top of that they cancelled server program which was the main purpose of nuvia in the first place. Strange things happen in tech.
