Country of origin: India I'm currently in the UK, I'd like to immigrate to the US & get a US citizenship. How long can this take on average? Can I get a H1B without a US masters? Is there any other alternative for me? Is there anything equivalent to "skilled workers" in the UK? You’ll have to reproduce in USA, and raise that kid for 21years so that it can sponsor you a GC. After that few more years for a citizenship. So somewhere close to 30years is the minimum. Don’t worry life expectancy is better in USA when compared to india, the medical system will make sure you’ve spent all your earnings before you die. If you’re planning to earn crores of rupees and settle your next 2 generations just read this comment again.

Well atleast you can get residency.. usa is screwed up for indians in eb2 and eb3.. you need to make choice here . Whats more important in next 20-30 years..stability/ certainty or high pay.. india usa or uk .. imho , get your UK citizenship and move to US on visa, if you want to make more money, atleast your residency and citizenship is sorted and then US could be lil stress free.. unless ofcourse you want to move back to India and stay there in which case ignore my comments and move to US

Residency If you have Residency status in uk then leave for few years make money in the usa and go back there because you won't get that in usa but you can make a lot of money. Your plan should be increase savings and leave. Usa has a fucked up healthcare system anyway so it's better to be old in a country with universal healthcare.
