I graduated Dec 2017 and plan to apply for FAANG this fall. To FAANG folks here. How long does your company define a person as new grad? I currently work as a swe in a small company. I ask this bc I know new grad and experienced may have different bar/interview process. Doesn't really care about the level though.
9 months post-graduation.
Then i should probably apply in August. Thanks bud
18 months
1 year or less
3 -6 months then you're old and gotta deliver what you were bought in for.
Read the question bro
My understanding is that you can apply through college recruiting versus industry at MSFT for a yr after your graduation date. I think this also means your friends can't make money recommending you for that yr as well since you would still be a college hire. I worked with someone who this applied to a few yrs ago...not sure if it's still the case.
They should give a bonus for college hire too..thanks the info
I don't think there is a definitive answer, but I'd say likely < 6 months has dry high chance of being considered new grad, from 6 months to 1 year it may vary, and after 1 year it would be rare I believe.
Seems like so
until about a year of a relative experience.
oh and if itβs for college recruiting process of some companies then it varies. most likely 6 months to 1 year
Say I have 9 month of working experience after graduate in Dec. I should apply for college hiring right?(Amazon)
Until another new grad joins the team. π
until you cause your first major outage?
For interviews? Probably 2 years or so.
2 years as a new grad? π€
Microsoft is definitely just one year.
