Currently at 2 months. Got laid off back in February. How’s everyone’s job search going?
It’s pretty rough my guy, took me around 8 months to find a new role, I am a junior though so there’s that
I took a junior job paying 🥜 to not sit on my ass too long. 2 months though with no reasonable TC in sight. Must be tough for Juniors though if seniors are just taking their jobs for fun
How is godaddy nowadays?
I stopped looking and created my own business outside of software engineering. Tired of big corp clowns and retarded startup CEOs.
What kind of business if don’t mind sharing?
I would dox myself if I told you.
20 months as of tomorrow. Only 4 interviews so far. 2 with conversational AI startups, a government job, and a contract role for Meta. I did a grad program in NLP and a thesis instead of an internship, so I'm sure that's partly contributing to my job hunt being so unsuccessful.
Still employed but kinda hate my job. I’m just applying to jobs outta traditional tech that interest me. Had like 3 interviews in 2 weeks.
Not laid off, but you need to look into areas where there is a need https://shorturl.at/oADEF (HealthSec as an example)
How are you guys applying? I am just applying through Linkedin and company career page. (Soon to be laid off). I am not in Bay/Newyork area.
I hate to reveal the secrets, since I'm searching, but if you aren't applying within a few hours of a job posting (use a bot), then they probably already have 10+ candidates.
