I have interviewed at Google long ago before and all interview rounds take one hour each, regardless of phone screen or onsite. My current google tech recruiter seems really new and says she thinks it's 45 mins. Can any googler confirm the current duration status for both phone and onsite rounds ? Thanks TC: 320K #interview
45 min with ~10 min reserved for introductions and questions at the end. This applies to both on-site and phone interviews. Source: I interview people.
Thanks. Your answer contradicts the other poster who joined recently. Is this change from one hour to 45 mins very recent ?
Nope, was the same as when I interviewed here. Not sure what they are talking about. I heard Seattle might have done hour longs until recently.
I had an onsite last year and again this year It was 45 min and I know its too less of a time but it is what it is. At least amazon does 1 hr
I had 45 minute interviews usually right after another for the onsite.
45 min --> 1 hour when you factor in interview/room overhead. That's all.
I had 45 min interviews. I interviewed at MTV office last month.
So , is the expectation to get 1 LC medium and 1 LC easy right in the 45 mins just like Facebook ?
2 LC Med or 1 LC Hard is also possible
So I did mine around 4 years ago and it was all 1 hour each. What was the reason for change from 1 hour to 45 mins ? Simply raising the bar ?
It's been 45 minutes for the last 6 years
1 hour each.
Thanks. For both tech phone screen and onsite for US positions ? Are you a current googler ?
yes, for both phone screen and onsite and yes i joined recently.
