I have a bunch of onsite interviews scheduled in mid April (includes the slowest moving company: Google), my goal is to leave FB before June. How long does it typically take from onsite interviews to offer finalization (including negotiations, selecting the final offer ) ? I guess 1 month at max? Thanks in advance. TC: 385k (4.5 yoe, E5) Reason for leaving: high stress, high workload (my personal experience, cannot generalize company wide)
Just curious how long were u at fb? From onsite to offer at google is probably around 3 weeks at best
4.5 years bro
Good run
Is there high stress for data scientists in the Analytics team? Or usually for SWEs only?
I am not sure about data scientists Most SWEs have stressful life from what I have seen
I know it’s selfish to ask, but since you work there would you please find out the TC for new hire at level 5? YOE 15 + PhD. Be nice to chat with some data scientists about WLB. I like to join if I can but don’t wanna to jump into a high stress work environment. Thanks bro! Best of luck with your interviews.
Holy shit nice TC. I doubt youll get as much elsewhere
Don’t know.
Update me when you get offers. Im curious
That’s some kickass TC for 4.5YOE!
It’s not that rare. I have heard people making 500k with 4 yoe (by becoming E6)
How hard is it to get hired as E5 with similar experience?
Most companies take at most 2 weeks. Google might take longer but if you have competing offers and deadlines they can speed things up.
That’s good to know. So if I start finish all interviews by Mid April, I should be done by early May.
Yeah, as long as you aren't too picky during team match.
