Doing a project for my MBA (fake business case) - wanted to see if I could ask some Tesla folks a couple questions to add a bit more flavour to my presentation ;) Roughly (no trade secrets required): - How long would it take to make a prototype? - How many people would be involved? - How much would it cost? Certain I'll get more trolling than answers, but it's worth a shot!
Man, this is why MBAs count for negative valuation during investment discussions. 🤣 These questions are aimed in completely the wrong direction...talk about tunnel vision!
Only one part of a much smaller paper. Have to include a funding request and stakeholder map (I know, I know...)
You always get trolls on Blind. But if you get 1 real answer it’s worth it!
Exactly!
They are just a battery charging company. Nothing special
It depends on if you have another model you can base your prototype off of. Once they got roadster they used what they learned to build the S. Every mode after can be protyped much more quickly
Are you asking for “pencils down” prototype?
I.e. say you wanted to build a functional prototype of an electric motorbike.
In that case, I would say for an electric motorbike around 1-2 years. I am not with vehicle design, so this is just my educated guess.
