How many people start a career in software but quit within 5 years?

I know a few people that did. A couple moved into small business ownership and a few got MBAs. I think about doing either of those everyday but I don’t have a strong network in my city so I’d probably have to move Don’t think you’re gonna be able to find any data other then anecdotes
