My buddy and I were pretty competitive at B-School and I decided to pursue PM-ing at big tech and he joined Evercore. He became VP M&A a year ago in NY. I am wondering how much he makes. TC:550K Edit: Based on the responses it seems we did equally well. Not surprised and I am looking forward to our class reunion post Covid ☺️. #ib #Investmentbank #m&a
Anywhere from 450-650k depending on how many years he's been a VP and performance. Evercore is in the tier of the absolute best investment banks to be in
Associate 1 is 325k-350k. About 50k increase per year. VP about 500-750k.
Probably around 700k and depending the performance upto 1.1mil
Ehh I'm not sure about that much for a VP. That's MD money
Anyone know about VP comp in Corp Dev/M&A roles? And how different is that than VP in Biz Dev/Partnerships?
So did you win OP?
Well, with GOOG stock doing well. I am at 600K so atleast I am not going to be far behind. Looks like 650K is the higher band and lower band is 450K. Give and Take we both did fine.
Can you confirm with him and report back? Hahaha
Realizing how crap VP money is at BoFA - 350 to 550
Clarifying here - for IB? And this year?
For IB. Director low end at $350/$400 in IB coverage. Huge ranges
Funny that no one from Evercore is on blind to answer the Q
Evercore responded
550-750k. But they work twice as many hours as a Tech PM does!
Does that depend on the number of years as a VP? Will it be fair to say that 1st year VP is between 550-600K?
Thanks!
2Y Associates make 180k base + 180k cash bonus + 40-45k stock. 1Y VP base is 240k + 250k cash bonus + 75k stock
Thanks!
What's the range for third year ASO?
Just ask him.
Probably between apprx. $500-750k TC w/ a $225-250 base. Depends what year VP he is.
Well everyone’s a VP in banking.
That's not for investment banking. IB has a very defined VP role
Exactly! All other VP roles are namesake titles barely making 130K in base.
