What did you do with the rest of your money? (Since you sold the rsu’s?)
Still have decent amount unvested, also IC so not as many RSU as eng. Mostly just normal expenses (and then was able to max 401k easier). Will probably stop selling immediately now that I've got more saved.

Is it a choice though? I think buying a house in the Bay Area is mostly something that people are forced to do if they want to have kids. Property tax alone is about the same as rent on a small apartment. Plus maintenance, insurance, mortgage. You get equity, sure. Maybe. If the economy doesn't go south. Overall very questionable "investment".

Why do wealth front and index funds? Wealth front is simply index funds with higher fees
It's a bit more diversified and their tax saving mechanism is pretty good. They rebalance automatically also.

Reading this changed my whole perspective on retirement. Half of you have more in RSUs than my pension’s cash balance will be in 30 years. I️ think I’d be severely limiting my career trying to stay in a bargained role in hopes of making eligibility.
