How much did you earn on your investments in 2019? Please elaborate in the comments if more than 10%.
You have only made the profit/loss if you actually sell your stonks. So, considering that, 0!
Do you receive dividends and cash distribution for mutual funds or stocks you never sell? You never receive 1099-div, 1099-b, etc? How can you be so sure 0
"Earn" is a generic term here. The question was not how much did you recognize as earnings....
If the answer is anything other than >15%, you need to have a sit down with your advisor/yourself
Over 46%. I have been doing my own investments my for last 8 years and my YoY return is over 12%. It's been a solid bull run, so there is that. OP you would be better off just putting the money in SP500.
Where and how do you invest through? Index funds and fidelity?
No index funds or ETFs. All direct stocks. I just got into the right stocks at the right time.
Fidelity Go Managed portfolio +20%
Put everything in total index fund.... 2019 was a banner year with 30% upside!!!!
About 35%. God this is gonna be a nuclear meltdown when the party stops
Over 40% you need to be in right stock at right time. Though due to bull run i had some luck also. This can come down very bad so be cautious with investments in this year.
Should have created higher ranges given anyone heavily weighted in stocks will likely have >15%. Market did something like 20-30%, tech did even better
Sadly 19 was one of my worst years to date - At 17%, because all the exchanges closing in US and I mostly did margin trading with an index. - crypto
Diverse portfolio, nothing fancy.
Teach me, please. I use wealthfront for automated investment. But my return is around 8%.
