Does anyone know the TC of a senior network engineer at Microsoft Redmond location yoe: 5 Current TC: 170K #salary #microsoft
A Sr. Network Engineer at Microsoft should be on TC 350k I guess?
Hahahaha
@WilliamG why you are laughing? Is that too little?
You make 170 at Charter as a Sr Net Eng?!?!?!?! As an Network Engineer IV?!?!?!?! What. The. Fuck. How? What's your comp break down and location? Current title: Senior Network Engineer Yoe: 8 TC: 116k
I dont know how you can be a Sr. Network Engineer with 5 YOE.
I don’t work at charter any more.
5 Yoe is L62 or L63 territory. Expect 220-250k
They might try to dowb level for this yoe , so it would be most likely L62
250k would be top of L63 band. L62 could offer as low as 180TC.
Can anyone refer me to Microsoft
No
Why
At Microsoft, L59-L60 are junior engineer, L61-L62 are engineer 2, and L63-64 are senior engineer. You can refer "https://www.levels.fyi/addcomp.html" for senior engineer TC. Keep in mind senior engineer don't get crazy TC as Google or Facebook. However, most people stay for good work life balance as well as good health benefits.
Should be a bazillion TC
Senior network engineer at Microsoft would be approx 150K-165K base and 15-20% bonus + about 10% in stocks which vest over 4 years. This is for Seattle. There may be a 25K joining bonus too. A lot depends on which level one joins, but at 5 year experience likely at 63 at the top end.
@antartica would you be able to comment on what would be the base compensation and other benefits that you think a Senior Network Engineer at Grade 64, working in the MSFT Azure org with 12 YOE be getting? I'm anticipating an offer ..hence trying to understand a decent ballpark figure. Location - Seattle/Redmond
I don't have answer to your question. But I am surprised charter pays that much TC for 5 YoE. Good TC. I think I should move out of vendor :P
There are some vendors that pay good money. BTW, Microsoft is also a vendor but have internal clients that support the huge Infrastructure they own.
