I see a surprising amount of TC around $400k here, so much that I assume a lot of that is private stock options and such. Is that true? Post TC breakdown of: - Cash - Liquid (public) stock - Private stock options, rsu, etc
No, almost all the high TCs are from FAANG, which are public. TC: ~350 Cash: 195k + 15% bonus Liquid Public RSU: 500/4
$400 fucking K for each code monkey.. unreal. (Not you, you’re the shit I love you)
Tech TC goes up considerably as their companies stock value increases.
I’m $400k+, all cash. But I run a boutique consulting firm in the valley, my company’s equity split is just for profit share with partners. Worked for a number of series A/B tech companies the past decade- none of that equity amounted to shit. I only take cash now.
Yep I had that with consulting too. But I had to sell and deliver which is no fun. Do you have to do BD too?
No, for my main clients it’s mostly technical. Architecture/tooling/hiring help. For consumer startups I sometimes have relevant ~growth hacks~ from previous experience, but for big companies and fintech stuff I just play the helpful nerd whose allowed in the boardroom.
450k, 200 base rest bonus n stocks
Are you going to buy the new AirPods?
Highly depends on the type of company
