How much should I quote for a speaker position?
I'm based in SF and would need to fly out to the east coast and give a 3-4 hour workshop for 10-15 execs at a Fortune 500 company. Travel will be comp'd.
Also, whats your shoe size and how many times a day do you use the bathroom? Need this info
So you can give 3-4 hours speech to execs but you need a bunch of overpaid 20something developers on blind to come up with a reasonable quote?
I've spoken many times. Key questions: straight fee + T&L, or hourly rate. If rate, door-to-door or just the engagement. I strongly urge a fee that reflects at least 2x your normal hourly rate for the engagement plus all door to door travel plus of course flights hotel and meals. If you are highly regarded (i.e. you have written a book) increase accordingly.
