How much to ask for Meta L7 offer
Are the data points reliable in levels.fyi? Those seem above most of the companies with a large margin. Appreciate for any tips for negotiating! I don’t have a competing offer close to that range. Thanks. TC: 900k

Did you interview for IC?
Levels.fyi seem a bit high. Probably skewed bcs stock has appreciated a lot, so folks reporting are showing some growth. I’d say 1.1M is a fair target vs the 1.4 they are showing on levels.
What’s IC E7 interview like? How many rounds coding? How many design? Etc I’m wondering if 7 let’s you escape leetcode
Nothing special. Code. Design. Leadership. Coding is still required but the focus is more on thinking process. More like leercode medium or below
Instead of paying L7s millions of dollars why don’t they hire ICs who do actually work. 🤦♂️
Good L7s should be unblocking and setting high level direction for an organization. Sounds way easier than it is. Pretty sure you’re an L4 who doesn’t have the backbone to stick up to a room full of directors and VPs.
Unblock my ass. These are made up roles. At best they are different skills but does not justify millions in salary. And Obviously I am not L7, Sherlock Holmes. But not L4 because you were in diapers when I started coding.
