Hey folks. Hope you are well and safe. Wanted to reach out to the community and ask if there are any twitter folks who have done the hiring of new graduates for their teams. Wanted to know how this process works. Do you literally check applications straight away or is it okay to wait for one-two months before applying? Am I risking losing an opportunity? And also wanted to know, do referrals for new graduate roles work at twitter? Do they mean anything? A friend of mine will be joining Twitter in late November, so I'm thinking is it worth to wait before he joins and ask for a referral or apply on day one. #twitter #newgrad

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Apply ASAP. Hiring at twitter is team based. So a a manger has to electively choose to interview you. Your app goes into a bank where managers check. The sooner you apply the more likely it is a manager will come across your app. Worst case scenario if you don’t get an interview, your friend can tell his director that you’re a good candidate and one of his teams should interview you (that’s what I did for a friend).
Thanks for your answer! Definitely will do so.
Can you provide a referral for an internship?
