The idea of WFH was good initially but every extra month I work from home I think the division between work and home is getting less and less clear. The problem is, I think this is the case for everyone on my team so it's hard to talk about something that's impacting everyone without sounding like the team complainer.
Yeah, I agree with this...If you're all burning out collectively who are you supposed to talk too? I feel ya!
Agreed. Wfh was so much easier when things were open and I could go elsewhere.
Lol definitely feeling that it's primarily because of social distancing and coronavirus (and the fact that US sucks...) nothing to really blame on workplaces I think personally.
Long work hours is causing me to burn out. It's a common habit within my team to overwork and it stems from the top. I don't see any solution other than to switch teams or move to another company.
I heard LinkedIn had great wlb? I'd suggest moving teams.
Same, I thought LinkedIn had good wlb? (Although to be fair, people also say MSFT has good wlb but in my case definitely not..)
I think being at home all the time is causing me to be burnt out at work. After a long day at work, I've gotten into so many raging matches with my spouse which didn't happen pre-covid. Also, having an energy filled toddler added to this equation doesn't help either. I've really started to value and crave silence, which ironically doesn't happen much in my household after WFH.
WH-1000XM3. Life saver
The best 🎧 ever.
When I worked at intel I wasn’t treated fairly and was forced to work long work hours. I left intel to work for Grumman and after 2 years I have never had a stressful day.
Intel and it’s stupid IMBOs, and the toxic “productive confrontation” motto...still not the worst in the industry though
Its hilarious that working on ICBMs, fighter jets that could level a city etc. is less stressful than working on some stupid dashboard for a social network
Burnt out typically lasts more than a few days for me. Not sure this makes much sense in that scenario.
Yes.
I'm either really burnt out or super driven and ready to break through walls... Always one or the other... It's a bit obnoxious.
feeling the same as of recent....it's tough
With the pandemic going on and wfh extended, I start to see little direction in my future. What's the point of my TC or prospective promotion when there's nothing other than work going on in my life.
So true, exactly how I feel. Living to work is a waste of a life.
Hobbies. Also, take some time off. I started painting and working on model cars during covid and it’s given me an outlet of something to work towards that isn’t work.
Sometimes voting for these polls make me feel burnt out. Honest opinion
