Got an offer as UX designer with potential to convert as full timer in 6 months. What would be the pay if I get converted? #design #interviews #ui/ux #walmart #offer
They say “potential” to incentivize joining it’s usually not the case for Walmart. We use contractors for production work. It’s rare and depends on the team.
Conversion is always the lie recruiters tell you. I mean technically it’s true. Some people do get converted. The vast majority do not.
I’ve seen it happen twice within my broader team for software engineers.
It will not convert under the current market situation! Your contract might get extended if you work well.
“Contract to hire” means “Contract to never plan on hiring.” It’s a scam.
They mentioned relocate in 6 months to get converted during that time.

Potential to convert as a full timer is usually the hook for such jobs unfortunately. It happens, but is rare from what I've seen.
