Separate companies: Google (the primary ads and search business) Cloud YouTube Waymo Verily Moonshot Investment teams (GV and Capital G) An argument can be made that spinning off each of these entities will unlock more value for shareholders. And it allows investors to diversify their risk exposure by making industry specific bets (e.g. buy YouTube stock for video streaming exposure).
