How soon to expect replies on applications?
I’m currently interviewing and want to include some companies that didn’t reach out first. I sent out application almost two weeks ago and haven’t heard anything back. Does this mean my resume likely needs work? Or should I just be more patient? I had thought that since I’ve hit 5 yoe I would get responses pretty quick. Companies I’m waiting on: Stripe Twitch Discord Unity And some others I’m probably forgetting Blind tax: TC 220 YOE 5
Best results are from getting in contact with someone from the company. Applying with no referral has very low response rate in general across the board.
Most of my applications came back in 2-3 weeks. If positive, will be an email from a recruiter. If not, will be an automated email thanking for interest.
Isn’t Microsoft one of the slowest?
Not sure. I had a recruiter reach out to me from MS. Never applied directly
