Im at L6 in my current company. Is there a specific sequence if the HC says 5 but you aruge 6? Is it best to indicate that to the manager after HC decision or how would you go about it? YOE: 15 Masters
Also note that Google L6 is pretty high. Should get you $500k+ TC with counter offers.
Def recommended to go in as high as possible, once you're leveled you're stuck for a defined tenure period (even they say tenure doesn't matter). At least 3yrs at 5 before you get to 6.
Same question but L4 to L5 YOE- 5 Yrs Non Tech
No way from what I know. If you got L3/L4 that means you were interviewed by L3/L4s and for L5 panel must be L5+
Oh shit...what ? Really?? How do you know ?
Just say thats not enuf TC. There is a pretty big chance they'll say no but then again do u wanna be a 5?

You should tell the recruiter early before the interview loops. Through interview they will level you according to the performance but atleast know what you are looking for and to evaluate.
