Used have great body, was into sports, genetically attractive but put on too much weight and drinking like crazy every day. Look like shit now (think some FB swe looking who gets GE all the time - JK don’t flag snowflakes!) I can still lift ok but lost all stamina to do long runs. I know what to do to get back to shape but have no will power to pursue the battle. 😪 Im not sure if therapy would help.. any tips greatly appreciated!
Join a group class like Orangetheory or try classes at peloton. Seeing others workout with you will help u keep a regular schedule..

Start counting calories.. keep track..keep.yourself busy..and finally do it for yourself and not for any other soul..

For alcohol, certain anti depressants can help you quit or greatly reduce alcohol consumption, talk to your doctor. For food, you have to limit cheat days and not exceed 3000, if you like start a diet or substitute cauliflower crust frozen pizza for regular pizza. Also reducing sugar helps a lot.
I don’t eat sugar. Just eat a few of tubs of ice cream when I crave it. Happens like every other week, sometimes weekly 😢
Why on earth would you jump on anti depressants to fix a weight/eating issue? That sounds like it would invite a whole new batch of problems.
Keto . Or hire a trainer and once you see results you wouldn't want to go back..plus all the above..
Absolutely this. I am 5'8" tall, male. Almost 196 lb at one time. Then 6 months of rigorous keto and some exercises, went down to 166 lb. Then 6 months of relaxation went up again to 185 lb. Hit 170 lb with keto and exercises for 2 months just before the pandemic. After lockdown since 03/2020, still haven't touched 180 lb, just keto and no exercises. Oh plenty of multi vitamin and D3 supplements. 10/2020 got annual blood work report never been so healthy, bile count is below 1.0 units, D3 is in range, triglycerides in range, HbA1c blood sugar avg is 5.2 units, kidneys, liver, everything is in effortless autopilot mode.
The pain of an enlarged spleen made me quit drinking.
Shite 😳now this is the forewarning/inspiration I am looking for.
1) you need to make a decision first, like no alcohol any more and no excuses till end of this year or rest of life 2) allow yourself to cheat / fail to stick with that plan especially in the beginning 3) develope and then maintain this no alcohol habit. To do all the above you need to realize why and what for you need all that. I try to develope a few new habits every year. I quit drinking alcohol, coffee and even tee (just water now and sometimes juice), no cola for sure, sugar, etc. what others said is good but more like temp solutions. I haven drunken alcohol for about 2 almost 3 year and don’t even want to try it any more, same for coffee ... before I drank up to few cups of coffee, beer 🍺 every week for decades. Now I don’t even understand what was the point and what I found so exciting about that ... those were just my habits I could get rid of ...

Have you tried not eating so much food and not drinking so much booze?
Step 1: Uninstall all the food delivery apps on your phone. You can only eat food you cook. Step 2: Purge your house of booze. There will be no more drinking for you. You can only drink water. Step 3: Buy ingredients and cook everything from scratch. No pre-made food. No canned food. Step 4: Log everything you eat. Everything! It is a hassle and it will stop you eating so much.
Thanks bud have done it all. I waste produce by not cooking, deleted all food apps, but I just go out on a whim and buy food. Even worse sometimes as I get pizza as it’s the only thing open :-( Half the days the week I eat super clean but the rest I’m eating like 4000 calories at minimum 😭
