I know in this market, we have to be thankful for the job we do have. But this manager is literally killing my mental health. Constant micromanagement, assigning task after task even though I'm already booked up each sprint. Random Ad-hoc tasks. I have consistently been respectful but I keep getting a condescending tone every time. Just need to know how to cope until market gets better and I can leave.
Improve your efficiency.
Message them so many updates and micro updates and lack of updates and why you don’t yet have an update, that they ask you to back off. But do it only for a day or two. Don’t toast them so much they fire you.
Only respond with the completed work, no status meeting or progress. You still deliver, but don’t give into their anxiety
I do. But then I get condescending tone that I am not providing constant status/progress when I can barely get time to think before I get another email/message.
This is exactly how not to deal with a micromanager and to make a manager into a micromanager
