I recently passed interviews at Meta for E4. What can I do to get matched into a team I like? I want to go into any of AI, VR, Security, and hopefully based out of SF or Menlo Park or remote but I don’t think they hire remote at my level. So far, I’ve tried reaching out to managers on LinkedIn. I’ve gotten a few responses but no roles offered due to team/skill set mismatch. My recruiter has gotten me one team matching conversation with a manager in privacy but I wasn’t really interested in that area. It’s been about 2 weeks since I was told that I passed and the process was said by my recruiter to take 4-8 weeks. I’d prefer sooner than that if possible.
Can I ask you about the interview experience please

Just get in if the team is not a complete mismatch and the EM sounds reasonable. Changing teams in Meta is relatively easy after a year.
Yeah, I think I’m probably just going to take the next team offered. This is an incredibly slow process and I feel like it wastes a bunch of everyone’s time, mostly mine
thanks op, I did the same thing , accepted the team which said yes to me, but moving to Seattle , would it be easy if need to just change the location later after a year, not the team.
