How to find a job in Java without Java exp

I have around 6yoe as a fullstack (typescript react, nodejs, python django, aws) I want to switch to backend and work on some more complex services (not just crud) so I’m learning Java and doing leetcode and system design. I was hoping to apply early next year. But I have gone through 50 companies career pages (tier 1 and 2 companies) and if there is any opening with Java, they mainly want like 5yoe in Java already. Some other companies are ok with Python/node, but I guess if they get dozens of applicants, the ones with years of experience in Java will take priority. What should I do at this point? Just stick to my frontend/fullstack experience and look for jobs in react/node/django? Tc 170k #spotify #stripe #netflix #airbnb #uber

You can learn Java for 1 month and fake it easily it’s not that hard. I used to feel the same but doing above could clear Java questions

I had similar issue when I wanted to get into Java related role. Spent a month going thru any latest Spring tutorial in YouTube and built along with them. Wrote down any terminologies they mentioned and researched the hell out of it. Then googled for "top 50 java interview questions" and went through like 10 different sets. After a while the questions overlap. By the end you'll have a good idea of what to expect in interview and if you need to back it up with real like examples you'll have your tutorial.

What extent of spring would they ask? Do you suggest being upfront with the lack of experience in spring/Java?

How did you get your resume filtered. I have no java related experience from work.

I am in the same boat. Thought it would be better but still struggling. Need to practice more design patterns. I think they would expect that.
