Got pinged by Netflix recruiter twice in the past long back. Was not interviewing back then. But most rarely reply. How to get a call? Have good tech skills and I work for startup. Mostly java docker AWS etc
I just pinged a hiring manager on LinkedIn and applied online
What happened then?
Recruiter reached out within a week to set up an initial call and a technical phone screen
I’m not actively interviewing….but I’ll always make time for Netflix. Rookie mistake, OP 😔
That's funny though. Why do you want to work for Netflix: " I like your shows and movies, great content. "

Nice! I’ve always get reached out by the other FANG but never Netflix. Anyone has any insight on the interview process? Is it very leetcode oriented?
I did a round with Netflix a couple months back. They're very big on company culture and liken when your responses are tailored around their values. Interview questions were pretty typical. There's some good yt vids on the questions they ask. A few interview questions were straight from practice qs in the yt vids. Open ended stuff like "tell me about time when..." Then they asked about my knowledge specific to the role like containerization, cicd, aws. Pretty typical really. Not sure if the next rounds would've involved leetcode. Didn't get selected :(
Varies a lot by team. My old team we did zero leetcode or algorithms questions. New team we have one or two. Every hiring manager and can typically run the interview panel however they want.

Lol "good tech skills". A lot of developers think they are hot shit until they get stuck with a LC medium in interviews. I can tell you that Netflix highly values operational excellence, which I don't think your startup experience will give you.
Tell me when operational excellence translated into being capable of grinding LC lol Having worked at both big and small companies, the most valuable thing I have noticed is ability to be autonomous, be proactive with respect to business needs and translating those to software solutions, and knowing how to delegate work.
@new well said!
I have similar experiences with Walmart and Amazon
Applied online. Got an interview. Rejected after recruiter screen. Lol
Same.
Any idea why?
Netflix is the one company I’ve never even been able to get an interview from even when my experience matches a job perfectly.
Same here until one day it happened.
Apply to streamberry.
Additional question. How to get a reply to this ?❓
By adding TC or gtfo
