How to get an interview at MS?
I’ve applied few times at MS through referals but never heard back in last two years. Could you help provide some advice on how to get the foot in the door? This is for Program Manager roles in Business ops/Supply Chain. Decent resume, previous offers from FAANG. Masters yoe: 2
I applied to Microsoft once, did a couple faang interviews, got my offer from current employer, accepted it, moved to Seattle, found an apartment, shipped a product, and then Microsoft called me back It's not you, it's them
At least they called you back!
MSFT recruiting is the worst. Full of people who ghost candidates.

I had to decline my offers due to my current visa situation, so I’m planning to interview again in next 6 months. I have heard, MS has great WLB, which I would love to have.
I’m interested too (but for SWE roles). So if referrals aren’t very effective, and applying online is either a black hole or has a very long response time, then should you connect with hiring managers directly? But how? Cold connect on linked in?
I probably think LinkedIn, but they won’t respond :( unless you know them
Hmm...I seem to recall Microsoft has hiring events? I’m not sure how to get into one, but maybe ask one of your references to refer you to a hiring event? Then you could meet the hiring managers in person.
Msft referral process is s*hit
