There are a couple of postings in Microsoft teams and Azure in IDC on their website that I am really interested in. I have been trying to contact different recruiters but they just ghost me. Tried referral in the past too, didn't work. For now, I am just applying online. How do you guys get interviews in Microsoft ?
I applied to probably 100-200 before I got my first interview, got an offer that fell through for no reason of my own, applied to about 100 more and finally just got another interview yesterday. I truly don’t think they hold it against you for applying to a lot of positions or I’d be blacklisted by now. I will say the recruiters are stiflers there about meeting job requirements more than other companies, and if they don’t have a need to talk to you they seem to ghost more too or not respond.
That makes sense. What preparation strategy are you following?
For my first interviews/on-site I just leetcoded a lot and had done some LP prep for an Amazon interview which was good enough. For the role now, I’ll probably do the same. I was also prepared to talk about my past work and projects I’ve done. All the interviewers I’ve had at Microsoft have been nice people and while I obviously had LC problems they all treated me like a person with unique abilities too and were interested in more than just LC
Put Ex Amazon or Ex Microsoft in your LI profile 😂😂
