Any tips on getting past the MS applicant filters? I am interested in MS in a Business PM or chief of staff role. Current a Sr. PM that operates in a chief of staff capacity with 10 YOE ( ~7 years PM, ~ 3,years EA) Strong performance track record working with/across executives; consistently promoted at Amazon. My draw back on paper is that I hold an Associates Degree and not a BS. This automatically disqualifies me in the applicant tracking system. My BS will be done in a year, with preacceptance into an accelerated MS program which will be done late 2023. #Microsoft #jobhunt
Could lie on the screener questions but be honest after that. Might annoy some people but should be fine. Plenty of auto reject questions say “bs/ms in CS” which is kind of ridiculous if you have experience. Just be sure to be honest after you get through the screener questions because you don’t want the HM or background check to get wrong info. Can easily playoff the screener question as a mistake or misunderstand if it ever comes back up.
HR tends to be inflexible with the bureaucracy here. If the role requires a degree, you will probably need to have the degree
It’s impossible to get into Microsoft if you don’t have the inside track.
Get referred.
If a degree is required, it's required. You're not getting past that.
To be honest, I think you also need to take into account that MSFT recruiters may just be dumb as well. I had a hiring manager for an open position refer and recommend me and still got an auto reject email. It worked out, but still pretty stupid.

Doesn't matter. The ATS will screen you out once you select that your highest level of schooling is an associates.
