Do you book conference rooms? Give the interview in your own office? Use work computer? How do you manage skype pings(if any) during the interview? What times are best to schedule phone interviews?
Sit in the car and give it. Or go to home for lunch and then give interview
Work from home or take a day off.
It depends on your environment. For instance there are companies with so called private rooms or focus rooms, which do not require to be booked and are meant to be used either for quick meetings or personal calls. You can use those. If you’re at a large company with a multi-story building, you can do it on another floor, if you don’t want your immediate team members to see it. These are better if you need access to a computer. Your car is also an option. It’s private and with the Bluetooth speakers on it’s very convenient. You can adjust your seat the way you want, put your laptop on your lap and use your phone’s WiFi hotspot for connectivity. Then there is always the working from home option, or if you live close you can just drive home, do it and get back to work under the pretense of a doctor’s appointment. I’ve done all of the 3 options listed above. It really depends which one fits you the best and with which option you feel the most comfortable, which is the most important, since you need to feel comfortable while doing the interview.
Yup, I wfh or go to my car
Just had 2 phone interviews last week. Just sat through them in the car! Worked out fine.
I used to book conference rooms at work but the walls were thin and I was not comfortable doing interviews for another company sitting inside the office of my current employer. I started to take calls in my car/home depending on the interview loop. If it's a recruiter call - car. If it's a phone screen with manager/team members - home.
Find a conference room in another building.
Usually in my car or walk around during lunch. Worst case do it in the bathroom
*cough* *cough* take a sick day!
