Was put on a PIP (performance improvement plan) by manager. Manager claims I didn’t do certain tasks/things which isn’t true. If the PIP period isn’t satisfactory, it’s termination for me. I’ve never been in this situation, advice, thoughts? Are people able to collect unemployment if they are terminated because of PIP? #pm #product #productmanager
Most PIP is framed and people are out for political reason, didn’t get along with the team, too smart/too dumb, manager throw you under the bus. What you should do is to have those dusts rolled off from you. It is just a job. Look for the next one. People don’t care what happened to you in the past. They look at you at your person.

PIP are a way to give you time to find a new job Do not plan on getting off a PIP. Better solution is to admit to stress not sleeping see a doctor etc and get On disability
