I have been giving interviews for senior software developer role for few months. Ironically I get offers at my non targeted companies and keep getting rejected at my targeted companies. I am always getting feedback that I was very close. It is making me very frustrated and depressed. How to handle the rejections and keep yourself motivated?

Keep Grinding! Ask for detailed feedback some companies give feedback for example need to improve design. It can be demotivating, but keep doing what you are and you will make it !
Just like getting rejected by girls; don't overthink it, move on.
I don't know whether this helps, but in the past, being in a similar position, I calmed myself by thinking of the statistical side: they receive many CVs, and the probability is low on one attempt, but increases when you keep on trying. And I always thought that being invited for an interview is my target, and I celebrated when it happened.

Keep in mind that it's not you as a person they're rejecting - it's your interview approach which is highly superficial as it is only digested in a short interview window. Find the right approach and you'll strike :) Sorry to hear about the rejection though - it is hard.
Do you mind sharing a list of your targeting companies?
At least you are getting offers!
Keep trying, luck is also an underrated factor
