If recession is in a month, what would you do to your current investments?
Seriously? If you knew there was a recession, you should sell what you have and short a ton of stocks. But you don't. You can also fall for every recession scare that we have had in the past few years, sell your stocks low and purchase them back at a higher prices later. and miss out on market gains.
That sums up for my personal portfolio that I manage 😉. Thank god for 401k and other accounts which I don’t touch and did well 😀.
See that's how you do it! Hands off unless you're a professional. It'll grow eventually, trying to time the market is tough unless you really know what you're doing

Stop listening to CNN - it’s fake news.
Sell and reinvest in US Treasury bonds. Then when the recession is at the bottom you take the money and buy buy buy and buy some more stocks. Why do you think the US Treasury yield curve inverted? Because people with way more money that us are buying US Treasury bonds like candy to escape the stock market, preserving the gains they have had.
Can't time the market. If you do want to sell stuff, you can sell stocks that are currently down to reduce tax burden of any gain from other stock sale
Sell before the recession or don’t sell at all. Don’t sell when it’s already crashing.
Stop loss limit for some (not all) of your Equity? Of course you risk missing out on some gains. It's a balancing act between your total gains and not going too low during downturns.
