Don't go with the express entry right now. Cut offs too high and processing time is really too high.. best option is asking the employer to sponsor for the closed work permit

You can get a work permit pretty quickly if you get an offer from an employer that can take care of it. Took me 5 months from accepting an offer to being in Canada, and that probably could have been faster by 2 months if I wasn't slacking off with papers. Not sure if needing a visa on top of that makes it slower, and also if it's slower in the recent years (I did it 3 years ago).

That's okay, just say you're not and continue with the application. It doesn't necessarily mean they won't consider you. At the very least, I know that Amazon is offering immigration assistance.
