You can buy this stock called SPY (S&P 500). It will basically be the overall US market which typically grows about 7% a year on avg, but it's been super volatile in the last few months and there is a high likelihood there will be a crash soon
Its not overall, its S&P 500 companies. VTSAX is overall.
Also take a look on VT, BND, AOA, etc.
Read The intelligent investor and Random walk down Wall Street. Look for index funds with minimal fees on Robin hood. Expect yearly returns of average 10% at best. That's average over long periods nof time. Some years you'll make more, others you'll lose money
