Tried to pull off a business, failed, lost some money in trading... long story short, I have $1k left in my bank account. $2.5k credit card debt. Starting a new position as a Golang engineer (base 200k, low latency tech) in a few weeks. What are the best ways to make a few thousands to pay off debts? I'm in New York.
Take out a small personal loan with your job offer as proof of ability to pay. If there were quick ways to make a few thousand people would do it
Contract on one of those engineering websites?
No sign on bonus? Open another credit card and use credit advance or get money from lending club
Nope
Try sofi.com
Sofi is good, I’ve used them for other purposes and was impressed with rates and service.
I mean how many weeks do you have to hold? With 1k you should be able to make it for at least 5 weeks, living extremely frugally
I have a family, paying 1k per month for a private school. Apartment 2500. 800 for a car.
Sell the car. You don't need car in NY
Approach a quiet craps table and place $25 and max odds on don’t pass and don’t come for an hour or two. When it’s your turn to roll, aim for the stacks of chips that are stacked high.
Rice and beans
I have 7k credit available on my credit card. How bad if I start using it without paying credit in full?
Go for it, just do minimum payments, and repay whenever you start your job. Shouldn't be too difficult with your salary and will not impact your credit score at all
Got it. Appreciate it.
Refererring good people into your company .They might have a good referral incentive
