Hi, I am beginning Senior SWE interview stages with Bloomberg(NYC) and I want to be prepared for offer stage if it comes. Any specific tips on negotiating Bloomberg offers? There are a million guides online about negotiating offers in general and I have read them. I am looking for tips specific to Bloomberg like: - Maximum I can ask/expect? - Do I need competing offers and do they help a lot? - What not to do to poison the process - Bonus vs. Salary - Anything else? I am interviewing at other companies as well but I really like Bloomberg for a number of reasons. Thanks. YOE: 5 TC: 140k
I think Bloomberg offers heavily depend on your interview performance and negotiation. Can be anything from 200k to 400k, with very loose correlation to YoE. I recently got an offer in London for 140k GBP and negotiated it to 170k, for your reference. Didn't have a competing offer at the time, just said I was also interviewing with other companies but would sign immediately for 170k. Don't worry about base/bonus breakdown, I just negotiated based on TC.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Maybe you can think about that when you get the offer lol
Yeah, I am confident about the interview, but I just want to be prepared as I don't know what the process will be. Additionally, I am not sure I would feel comfortable sharing the details of an offer if it came. I know people do it all the time, but it makes me a little uneasy.
