How to negotiate an Apple offer
Interviewed with Apple for SWE position and they want to give me an offer. Have a call with the recruiter tomorrow and she wants to know my salary expectations and discuss comp. How should I approach this and what’s an appropriate amount to ask? I have no other offers at the moment. YoE: 5.5 - 6 Expected level at Apple: ICT3 Current TC: 175k
It is impressive how many people get away with TC: peanuts. Sorry brother/sister, if you need proper answer to your questions, you will need to enlighten the community how many peanuts you get.

Ask for ict4. When I got an offer at 6 yoe, they offered ict4.
I agree with this comment. OP please be firm on ICT4. It will be around 250-260k (low end ICT4). ICT4 will give you bigger size bonuses if you do well. Knowing Apple, they will first offer you ICT3.
Agree with above. Ask for ICT4, pointing out that others with similar yoe get ICT4. I know people with 3-4 yoe that are ICT4 in some orgs
They low ball you, you laugh and get counter from your company, they step it up, get one more counter then you get two great offers to choose from. You're welcome.
Tell them that you're in the hiring process with a few other companies (name drop if recognizable) and say you're looking for market rate.
It depends on how well you impressed your manager and future tram mates. If you feel you did a good job than ask for more, maybe ICT4 if you are really good.
